The very first edition of Animansion in Brussels.
They organisated at a fabolous place.
Sadly it was french, and my french isn’t really good, but I would have to say I had fun.

If the other dutch speaking cosplayer’s weren’t there I would probably not have had a great time.

So you’re wondering what you could do there?
To be honest I’m not really sure. I didn’t have the time to go inside the castle, so sadly I can’t say what you could have done inside.
Outside there was a podium where concert’s of jpop’rs or jrock’rs performed.
Ofcourse there where merchant’s there selling there stuff in tent’s.

We were really lucky we had great weather, it didn’t rain at all.
It was the very first time I cosplayed a naruto character probably the last, to be honest I would watch it if I find the time, but to cosplay it, that isn’t really my thing.

Just the fact that there weren’t that much good snj rock lee’s I decided to cosplay the Sexy no Jutsu version of Rock Lee. I was happy that I wasn’t the only snj or naruto character running around.

Cosplay competition:
The cosplay competition’s was on the same stage where the bands performed, so you could guess there where alot of wires and stuff…
It was the third time on podium with cosplay and still was nervous as hell, but thank god for my Swifty and Ysanne did along, without them I would have been shaken ^^. Our act was so bad, but I don’t really care, I had fun and isn’t that important?
The jury I still do not know who the judges where probably the organisator’s or the presentator’s. Who will know? god only knows or maybe Jarl XD

Thier was a changing room for the cosplayer’s that is always fun, you feel like your a little more important XD

It was the birthday of Saya-shingami that day, and I think she had a great time.
Well that was it, hopefully there will be a second animansion…

Merchandise: I saw some new stuff instead of the regular naruto, bleach, nana stuff. So here I give it a 8/10

Workshops: I alway entend to go to workshops on conventions, but I always end up missing the workshops

Gamingcenter: As usual there was a few DDR matches. I also found som old arcane games to play.”It reminded me of the younger days, damn I feel old XD”

Other: beside the traditional games, workshops and merchandise there was a gallery of nice drawings and screening’s. 7.5/10

cosplay: there was 2 cosplay competitions, 1 for random cosplays and the other was for those who cosplayed a character from wakfu. (Don’t ask me what wakfu is, I’m not sure myself)
the stage was very small in height and length. The light was not to bright.
Sound: sometimes they didnt play the whole song, to late or to early
presentator: very confused presentator

jury: I still have no clue who the jury was, but I personally thought there where better act’s.

cosplay:I saw the typical naruto/bleach characters ofcourse there was some very nice cosplays.

Size: the convention was in 4 floors so it was big but you could have seen the whole convention in a few hours if there werent alot of people in the lines XD

Thank’s to jiji and phoenix we had rides to Lille (France) If it weren’t for them, we wouldn’t have gone I think.
As the usual convention, I woke up in the early moring, we went to lile with 2 cars. Videll, genromoaken, hanami and jiji where in one car; finalphoenix, kenshi, … and I where in the other car. It was a fun trip to there, kinda still but I didn’t know the people so well, I guess we were all a little shy. Once we arrived in Lille, we say a humongos line, luckely I saw lisu and jarl half way and kinda jumped in the line. sorry peoples, I had to go urgent… XD Once I got inside, we got changed. We discovered the convention a little, but then it was time for the competition. I did a random act with nayoha and lisu. it was something wierd shinku and soifan fighting over Sasuke. XD

We didnt win XD but we had fun. I don’t remember who won though… I thought nobody of the belgian cosplayer’s one to bad. better luck next time. after the competition, azzy starting pictures of us, it was fun XD

Then something wierd happend, some people of the organisation asked us to do a cosplay-fashionshow or something. so we all accecpted and followed the securty men. we first where in a wierd looking place, I thought we were gonna be killed XD nah just kidding…
So once we all got in the big room we went through another door and we entered a shopping mall, you should have seen al the people watchin us, XD We where like a circus act XD
Well If I didn’t know cosplay I would be laughing to ^^
so what was this show we had to help out, there where kids sitting in a circle and we had to show our cosplay’s that’s it. It was kinda funny the kids didn’t know who we where or nothing expect for lisu who was cosplaying sasuke. I don’t know if they knew Naruto, but they sure dit like her weapon. XD once we got back at the convention it was random goofing around, watching merchandises, playing ddr, ….
and ofcourse loosing each other XD

Once we found everyone, we said our byebye’s and went back home. well it was a fun day, but to be honest I don’t think I’m going back, my french isn’t that good, and Lille is a little to far for me, and I didn’t do much accually XD thanks to the cosplayers I had a great time.
