Leonor is de solo rep of Portugal.
She won with her Mirka Fortuna cosplay from Trinity Blood at Anipop Kyuu-Ti in Lisbon.

At the finals she wore her pretty cosplay Dinah, The Fallen Angel, from Anima Tactics.

Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

Hi! My name is Leonor Grácias, I’m 21 years old, from Portugal ^^.
I´m Studying Fashion Design and Art Studies.
I started Cosplaying in 2004/2005, my grandmother taught me how to sew and I really loved it! I started going to ever conventions in all country!
Many friends wanted me to participate on ECG (from the first time) and this year I and this year I signed in to Portuguese ECG. It was the first time, in years, that I participated in a contest! And I won, for all my friends that supported me in this competition. It was very difficult for me, participating again but I’m glad!! To be able to represent my country!

Q: How old are you?

I´m 21 years Old

Q: What attracts you to cosplay?

Everything! But I really love to do Photoshoots, to be able to recreate a character that I really like, talk like her, walk like her….her personality! I really love this part of the transformation in Cosplay.
I started cosplaying, because of the “Friends” Factor, I wanted to make a lot of friends and I wanted be able to be part of something big.
So I grabbed a friend and I started going to some Conventions, and I really met a lots of people!
So the “Friend” Factor I accomplish. Next was the “Sewing” Factor and the “Winning” Factor, etc, etc.

Q: What do you do outside of cosplay?

I study, I love Taking photos, going out with my friends or my Boyfriend.
I Love surfing on the Internet! Reading, drawing…that kind of things

Q: When did you start cosplaying and how long?

Q: Have you entered a cosplay competition before? Have you won prizes before?

A: Yes, quite a lot really!!! All over my country (its a little country, I like it that way!)
I can´t name all of my prizes, because I lost count, but I have all the diplomas stored!!!
I stopped entering in competitions 1/2 years ago….but I judge some of them and I appeared in all the conventions.

Q: Was this your first con if not how many conventions have you attended before?

Q: What made you want to attempt this costume?

I made this costume, for the Portuguese Eurocosplay selection, I was one of the Judges.
So, I Just made this costume, because I Love Mirka Fortuna, and This kind of dresses, and off course I Love Trinity Blood!
For the ECG Portuguese selection, I choose this one because it was kinda new, and I really love this costume, the shinning, the pink stuff, and the golden details! I really love this costume! HAHAHA
And the Skit, omg! Really hard finding one! I had 3 days to prepare all, and send it to the organization!

Q: How much time and money did the costume cost to make?

I made this costume in 10 days, I had 13 days until the Event, I had to shop for all the stuff in quite little time….and so because of that I didn’t have much time to search for cheapest materials, the Mirka Fortuna cost me 150/200 euros.

Q: Did you have help, or did you construct it all by yourself?

I asked help just for the patterns, I’m not so good with that……

Q: What was your first thought when they announced you had won the selections?

OMG! It was hilarious!!! Because I was talking with my friends, and I didn’t noticed that the Announcements started, so they said my name, and I was like to my friends “Sorry! I have to go get my award” it sounded like a Bitchy thing….but it wasn’t XD. Omg! I thanked everyone and one of my friends hugged me! And we started to cry! omg! So epic! It felt very good!

Q: What advice would you give to cosplayers who want to make this cosplay?

Hmm, I think, use your imagination; don’t stick with what´s just in the drawing! Use your own style and creativity.

Q: What advice would you give to cosplayers about presenting yourself on stage in a contest?

You have to know that you are doing your Best!! And chill out!

Q: have you in the past entered other big compo’s like WCS?

No, I saw some of them, but it’s the First time that I represented my country in this kind of competition. And we don’t have WCS in Portugal! XD
